Curtis Edward “Butch” Lynn, 84, Martinsville, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Indianapolis.

He was born on Friday, February 8, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Lawrence L. Lynn and Earna Lones (Clarkston) Hine.

Butch was a 1947 graduate of Martinsville High School. He retired from Allison Division of General Motors where he was a carpenter. Butch was a member of the First Baptist Church in Martinsville, the International Wood Collectors Society, the Woodcarvers Association, Masonic Lodge #74 and member of the Morgan County Fair Board.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Lynch) Reed Lynn, whom he married on December 11, 2004; daughters, Marcia Hodges and husband Jerry, Rebecca Wilson and husband Paul and Lisa Vanzant and husband Jerry all of Martinsville and Dana Bundy and husband R. Barry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; stepbrother, Thomas Hine; stepsister, Martha Morgan; half-sister, Geraldine Grubb; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Butch was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Rodgers) Lynn, whom he married on October 31, 1948 and she passed away on December 24, 2000; stepfather, Marion D. Hine; one grandson, Corey Wilson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Able officiating. Visitation will be at Costin Funeral Chapel on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to the Morgan County Fair Board, 1749 Hospital Drive, Martinsville, Indiana, 46151.
