Jonita Rose (Steinway) Trout

Jonita Rose (Steinway) Trout, 68, Martinsville, passed away at 1:52 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.

She was born on Tuesday, February 20, 1945 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Melvin T. and Roxie (Quakenbush) Steinway.

Jonita was a 1963 graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked at Forkey's Family Restaurant for 21 years; prior to that she was owner of Papa Bear Daycare and Pre-School in Martinsville. She had also worked previously at the American Legion and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul L. Trout, whom she married on February 29, 1992; daughters, Lisa Colwell and husband Matt of Fortville and Nancy Page and husband Robby of Filmore; son, Christopher Trout and wife Shelby of Whiteland; stepson, Scott Trout and wife Deb of South Whitley; stepdaughters, Dawn Cox-Neal and husband Bryan of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Star LePrie and husband Ed of Kimmell; brothers, Jim Steinway of Gosport, Keith Steinway of Martinsville, Gary Steinway of Aledo, Texas, John Steinway of Martinsville and Mike Steinway of Spencer; sisters, Phyllis Carr of Martinsville, Carol Lopossa of Martinsville and Sue Jones of Martinsville; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keenan Steinway officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.
