Marilyn Imogene (Maxwell) Reynolds, 83, Mooresville, formerly of Martinsville, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville.
She was born on Monday, November 17, 1930 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Ralph Maxwell and Sybil M. (McDaniel) Maxwell. Imogene was a 1948 graduate of Martinsville High School.
She retired in 1986 from the South Central Indiana REMC where she was a payroll clerk. Imogene had previously worked at the First National Bank, the Morgan County Auditor’s office, and played the organ at Cure & Hensley - Costin Funeral Chapel.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Martinsville and had attended River Valley Christian Church in recent years. She had a deep love and appreciation for music. She played the piano and organ for church services, as well as sang with the First Baptist Church choir, for most of her life.
Imogene was preceded in death by her loving husband, William E. Reynolds, whom she married on February 26, 1949 and passed away on October 1, 2001. She is survived by her children, Greg Reynolds and wife Rita of Mesa, Arizona, Cheryl DeMott and husband Tony of Martinsville and Julie Smith and husband Jaun of Martinsville; ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11:00 on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Able officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costin Funeral Chapel and on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.
